Life on Tucker Trail

Welcome, we are the Bastian family, and I'm glad you've stopped by.  I'm Cristie, mom of 3, and wife to Lance ~ I created this blog to share my passion of turning a house into a home, one project at a time.

Starting to Decorate for Halloween...

Our home ~ Decorated for Halloween last year.

Halloween just happens to be one of my favorite holidays.  The cooler (but not cold) temperatures lead to sweaters and scarves, hot chocolate and caramel apples, and of course, football!  Decorating for halloween is also a lot of fun... and one thing I absolutely love, is that my children get into it too!  Especially Madison!  She loves to look through our boxes of decorations, choosing just the right thing to go onto the mantel, or a shelf or table.  I love that she gets so excited about it, and remember feeling much the same way, as my Mom would start decorating for the various holidays throughout the year.

Excited for Conference Weekend...

One of my favorite weekends of the year!

One of my favorite weekends of the year!

The first weekend in April and October, our Church hosts a special General Conference in Salt Lake City, UT.  We are able to listen to our Prophet and Apostles, and other Church leaders give advice and council on a variety of topics.  Our children especially love this time because we get to hang out at home, Lance makes his famous biscuits and gravy, and we snuggle up on the couches and watch conference.
